Colombia. Bogota. Getting there and The Click Clack Hotel

I'd rather not start a vacation with inquires of the status of one's will and trust, looks of puzzlement on why you might be traveling to that location, questions of kidnappings, drug embezzling, and general crime.  Of course, between this and internet tales, I did take extra precaution with planning to ensure our safety and smarts while in Colombia (even if it wasn't needed...which it wasn't).  After a pleasant flight to Bogota, which is less than 5 hours from Atlanta ,we arrived to the Colombian night.  The airport was busy and due to lack of knowledge of society norms on my part,  a trip to restroom ended up with me being quite puzzled at the lack of toilet paper. It turns out to be "conveniently" located in the main area, by the hand dryers, of course. We  meet our prearranged driver to head to our hotel.  This proved to be our first wake up call to the fact that no not everyone does speak English in the world, and in the case of Colombia, we would find English speaking people far and few between.  Our driver may or may not have ran every red light on the way to the hotel.  He certainly introduced us to the way Colombians drive.  It's time to close your eyes an hold on tight.
