this is disorganization.
Eric was going through the tax packet issued from our "accountant" to help in preparing for 2007 taxes. A2 information all the same. fotoWonder information all the same. Addresses the same.
eric. "hmmmm....why isn't Claire's social security number on here?" "I don't want to dig through the files and find it."
me. "don't do that. The person you call our "accountant" has to have it from last years taxes." "Ask him tomorrow."
A few days later.
me. "so what about Claire's social security number? Why are we looking for her social security card?"
eric. "Let's just say we have to refile our 2006 tax return, and we're gonna get some $$ back."
Dear Uncle Sam, You have a new niece. Her name is Claire and back in 2006, you forgot to send her arrival gift, AKA tax relief. I know our accountant is completely lame and forgot to let you know. Maybe you can just send double this year.

Somehow our accountant left all three children off the 2006 return. We ended up owing but I was pregnant and matt was out of the country so we paid. well turns out we have to file an amended return in order to get back our refund PLUS what we paid. We have three years - which is good because I dont feel any less busy this year ;)
uhmmm....hello all 3 kids!?!?! I think you need a new accountant too.
