friends
Over the last few weeks, I have had the chance to gather with friends--new, old, and older. It seems as though one can slip into the routines of everyday life and before you know it rounding up your family to join the fun of others seems like too much work. Between kids activities, the chaos of summer, sicknesses and life, a year passes with the thoughts of getting together but noting concrete on the calendar.
I'm thankful for the weekend spent at the lake with "new" friends--a wonderful, delightful family I first photographed 4 or so years ago. It was such a treat for the girls to play together and just relax all weekend. What a beautiful lake cottage just perfect for joining together.
I'm thankful for friends that I can just pick up with even if a year has passed. The Holliday Park concert was just what we needed. So nice to sip wine and chit chat. So nice to see how normal our "babies" our even if they BOTH randomly pass out. So nice to watch the kids run, dance, and play
I'm thankful for all my friends from the past. The surprise birthday party for my college best friend was one of the best surprises ever--for her and me! I am so happy that I got to see her kiddos, her happy family! I love that even though it has been years! I can still see the same person I had so much fun with all through college! Now, we just have to see each other more often!
Friends--So good for the soul! Having bonds and memories with others is what makes life so enriching!
Who wants to do something fun next?!?! We are ready!
